The game is simple in design and is a variant of the IPod Music Intro Game but for more than 1 player. It plays an intro or a random part of all the music files you have on your Iphone and the contestants should guess what song it is (or more) and score 1 point for each right answer. It should have the look and feel of Iphone GUI as much as possible

Start menu

In the start menu there are a number of settings.
Quick Play

This just starts the game in simple mode.

Settings
No of players
1-6 (default 2)
Song section
Intro (default)
Random (random part of the song)
Song length

Points (default 10, but the user should be able to enter any number)
Start Game

Game Mode (Regular)

When the user starts the game he is asked to enter the names of the contestants.

When he presses Done the games starts

A random song from all of the music on Iphone is played according to the settings; either intro or random part and for the selected length. If manual length is selected it should continue until the song ends or the user taps the screen.

When the song is finished the song Title, Artist and Album should be displayed (If the album cover stored and it fits in the GUI it would be nice if that could be shown as well)
The screen should also display should also show all the contestants names and a Next button. By tapping a name 1 point is awarded to that person and by tapping Next no points are given. The next song should then start.

When someone has reached the Best to no. of points the game ends and a Result list should be displayed with the winner name in slightly larger font.
The user can then select either Rematch or Start Menu. Rematch starts a game with the same settings and Start Menu sends him to the Start Menu.

Game Mode (Quick Play)

In the Quick Play Game Mode the intro of the songs are played randomly for 10 seconds and then the Title, Artist and Album should be displayed. After each song the user can either choose Next or End.
No points are given.

And it would be not new.

As with the times, both options would be good if they can be provided, bug free and quite useful for the people who use it.

Maybe something that we can try to make using Steape?

More and more people are using smartphones.

iPhone is the best.Well, I knew for quite some time that, when it comes to marketing, no one can beat the Apple guys. There is yet an additional model of the iPhone coming out.

This is a good idea Chris. In fact, these are good ideas.

Or, of course, as an iPhone app (perhaps a shell around the webportal)?

It will be more good if you can add one liner ( astrologer or fun statement) every time. Every time when user check, this one liner should be different than the previous one.

I would like to save it as an image, which i can share with my friends, to show how is my mood now.

I think this is a cool idea. Select a song from your library edit it to like 20seconds with fade in and -out. Cool. Shouldn't be too hard to make, right?

I´ve been part of building a solution like this, a SharePoint based self service portal extending the possability for the user to "order" an application or service to the mobile phone, with or without

Just thought of giving the Pomodoro proof of concept during the development of this iPhone app. With that experience as a background the pomodoro application is a lot more credible of course :)

I think this is a good idea. I have always been fascinated of the whole "ring tone download"-industry.

Yes, it could be done on the PC. Transfering it back and forth and editting it in between. But it would be a handy and small application to build it right on the phone and edit it on the mobile.

I am doing a handy research on the competing application and no one is touching the expectation of the end users. Though some of them are paid.
