About MSL
Mobile Solutions Lab
In order to stay at the forefront of technology Sogeti has strategically invested in a Mobile Solutions Lab in Mumbai.
The vision of the lab is to clearly demonstrate our passion for mobile technologies and to display our innovative power. The Sogeti Mobile Solutions Lab (MSL) is a formal structured team with a steering committee to give it proper direction. The committee boasts of technology gurus, domain experts and business leaders from various geographies.
For the year 2009, the lab will focus on Symbian, iPhone and Windows Mobile solutions. The steady stream of applications from the lab will be distributed as free-ware on various distribution channels like Sogeti.com, Apple Store, Handango etc.
In Phase I, the focal point of the lab would be to develop simple tools and paraphernalia (general utilities), applications with integration with social networking sites and help the Sogeti Sales Team in help in converting some of their tools into mobile solutions.
Phase II will emphasize on Sogeti KickStarts, Proof of Concepts and Custom Enterprise Applications .
The ideas for Phase I applications will be crowd-sourced from this website (Ideastorm). The top ranked ideas will be reviewed by the steering committee and developed if found feasible. The developed utilities will be beta-tested by the community itself to make it a robust solution.
The by-product of this lab will be a proven and tested delivery approach for managing mobile development projects. The central repository of the lab will be used to communicate best practices and share common frameworks.

A Mobile Web Portal approuch would be nice. One that detects different screens and inputs like android 640, iPhone, iPad and winmob 320.

This is a good idea Chris. In fact, these are good ideas.
Or, of course, as an iPhone app (perhaps a shell around the webportal)?
Are you in the Netherlands? Than it seems the mailserver is just not supporting an Android compatible mail protocol for Exchange. The mail server needs an update ;)
